Hello!

 By accident or design, you’ve landed on my website – and you’re very welcome. 

 I’m the author of The Perex Chronicles , a series of thrilling fantasy adventure novels for readers of 10 to 110 (and maybe beyond). Book One, The Boy from the Night Sky, was published by Shellsfoot Press (aka me) in 2023, and Book Two, The Cloven Flame, in 2024.

About me

I was born in Manchester in 1952, and educated at Heaton Moor School, Ludworth Primary School, Manchester Grammar School, Brasenose College Oxford and University College London. For many years I worked as a librarian, first in academic libraries and later heading the library and information team at a multinational law firm. But I’ve always been a writer as well – novels, short stories, plays for radio and the stage, even a couple of musicals. These days I write full time, and I live in a village in Wiltshire with my wife Jill, and two cats.
